Part-Time, Entry-Level, Hourly position ideal for Parent of School-Age Children; Recent High School Graduate of a K12 Teacher Academy Pathway; and/or a PT College Student taking Evening Classes

Primary Responsibilities:

-Engage with educators, students and volunteers to assist and support them through the JA BizTown and JA Finance Park Capstone experiences
-Engage with students to provide direction and guidance during JA BizTown and JA Finance Park experiences
-Troubleshoot logistical, technical, and other issues as they arise and communicate needs to appropriate staff
-Prepare simulation areas for student visits and reset simulation areas once simulation has concluded
-Support educators, volunteers and fellow JA staff in the implementation of all JA Learning Experiences taking place at the JA Campus
-Support Junior Achievement of Delaware, as needed, with implementation of its entire K-12 portfolio of Learning Experiences as a member of the Education Team

Qualifications (required)

-High School Graduate with relevant experience as a Parent; a K-12 Teacher Academy student; Camp Counselor or Coach
-Ability to successfully pass Security Screening to include Criminal Background Check and Random Periodic Drug Testing
-Ability to stand for long periods of time
-Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
-Ability to accept an hourly rate of $18 per hour
-Ability to work 5 hours per day, usually between hours of 8:00am and 3:00pm. (Requires some flexibility in earlier or later starts as school schedules dictate)
-Possess Valid State of Delaware driver's license
-Have routine and ongoing access to Reliable transportation
-Exhibit and maintain a professional appearance and cadence in a business casual setting
-Ability to take direction from a management team. This position reports to Director of Operations while working under the immediate direction of Experiential Learning Manager and Operations Manager
-Ability to actively participate in the preparation and delivery of JA BizTown, JA Finance Park, and other Junior Achievement Learning Experiences taking place at the Wilmington JA Campus
-Ability to set up materials, assist the Experiential Learning and Operations Managers in implementing student simulations, and complete re-set activities for the next day
-Ability to assist in the set-up, implementation, and breakdown of special events hosted at the JA Campus

Qualifications (desired)

-Relevant Customer Service, Teaching and/or Coaching Experience

By applying for this position, you are certifying that you are available to work 5 hours per day Monday - Friday usually between the hours of 8:00am and 3:00pm for 30 weeks per academic year (October -June) excluding unpaid Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break, Spring Break and Federal Holidays.
