Student Enterprise Associate

Entry-Level opportunity, 30-Hour Per Week Position. This is a 100% in-person position headquartered at the Wilmington JA Campus and requires in-person support at Middle and High Schools across the State of Delaware. Ideal for College Student who attends class in the evening and needs a job during the day. Excellent opportunity for recent JA Company Program Alumni or Recent High School Grad who is not pursuing postsecondary education; or for a Parent re-entering the workforce.

Impact

-Increase economic opportunities for young people facing challenges created by generational poverty, institutional racism, mass incarceration, and other societal inequities
-Build and develop your own skillsets and mindsets to create the life to which you aspire

Primary Responsibilities:

-Engage with educators and volunteers to prepare, assist and support them through the JA Company Program experience
-Engage with students to inspire and prepare them to succeed in their JA Company Program experience
-Expand the number of high quality JA Company Programs operating in schools and afterschool settings across the State of Delaware with an emphasis on communities facing lack of economic opportunity
-Support educators, volunteers and fellow JA staff in the implementation of all Entrepreneurial Learning Experiences including JA Piranha Pond Pitch Event, JA Barracuda Bowl Entrepreneurship Challenge, JA Be Entrepreneurial (Creative Problem Solving, Rapid Business Planning, Think Like an Entrepreneur), JA Entrepreneurial Mindset, JA Launch Lesson, JA More Than Money, JA Ourselves, JA Our Families, JA Our Region
-Support Junior Achievement of Delaware with implementation of its entire K-12 portfolio of Learning Experiences as a member of the Education Team

Qualifications (required)

-Recent High School Diploma (Minimum)
-Ability to successfully pass Security Screening to include: Annual Criminal Background Check
-Ability to stand for long periods of time
-Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
-Ability to accept a gross annual starting salary of $35,568 with 80% of Medical/Dental/Vision benefits covered
-Valid State of Delaware driver's license
-Reliable transportation

-Ability to grow in this position
-Relevant experience as a JA Company Program or JA Be Entrepreneurial student in Delaware
